Elena Pomar has a B.A degree in Graphic Design from the Design School of Fine Arts (1979-1983).
She continued her plastic training with courses and the workshops in the National Autonomous University of Mexico ( UNAM), Tamayo Museum, and Contemporary Art Museum in Mexico City.
As Painter she has participated in about 60 exhibits, 22 of which have been individual.
Her works have been expossed in various galleries in Mexico City and abroad.
In 2006 she won a scholarship from the special Fund for Culture and the arts of State of Baja California in the Creators with Trajectory category, in the etching area, with her project: Gender Archetypes and Symbolisms in the Feminine Figure Drawing.
In 2003 and 2008 she was selected to the XIV y XVI Plastic Biennial of Baja California in the drawing category.
She has been a teacher in a plastic arts and Graphic Design since 1999 in Mexico City and the state of Baja California
